What you need

Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro 25.6 or later (the 2026 line — the first with UXP plugin support out of beta). Native transcript features need 26.3+.

Operating system

macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon or Intel) or Windows 10/11 64-bit — the same systems Premiere Pro 2026 supports.

For AI features

An API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini (your own account, pay-as-you-go). Silence cutting needs no key and works offline.

Installation

Installed in three steps

  1. Install the plugin

    Double-click the downloaded .ccx file — Creative Cloud installs it into Premiere Pro. Then open it from Window > UXP Plugins > CutPilot.

    • During the pre-launch beta, the plugin loads via Adobe's UXP Developer Tool instead: add the plugin's manifest.json, click Load, and enable Developer Mode in Premiere. The getting-started guide walks through it.

  2. Install the CutPilot Helper

    Run the mac or Windows installer. It sets up the local media service and writes a private security token that only the plugin on your machine can read. The helper starts automatically and listens on 127.0.0.1 only — nothing is ever reachable from the network.

  3. First-run onboarding

    Open the panel in Premiere. The Setup tab confirms the helper is healthy; the Settings tab is where you pick a provider and paste your API key (stored in Premiere's secure storage). Your 14-day full trial starts now — try "cut the silences in this sequence" on a test project.
